Sony Confirms Little Big Planet 3 Servers were taken offline indefinitely

Published on |

According to Delisted Games and Sony’s support website, the servers for Little Big Planet 3 will not be returning online. The game’s offline content will still be accessible to players, but unfortunately, the community’s 15 years of created content is gone.

Per Sony’s support site:

LittleBigPlanet 3

Due to ongoing technical issues which resulted in the LittleBigPlanet™ 3 servers for PlayStation®4 being taken offline temporarily in January 2024, the decision has been made to keep the servers offline indefinitely.

All online services including access to other players’ creations for LittleBigPlanet 3 are no longer available.

User generated content (UGC) stored locally on your PS4™ will remain available.

Any new UGC you create can be played on your PS4 but not shared.

Offline features such as the campaign will remain playable.

This isn’t the first time Little Big Planet’s servers had to be taken offline. Back in 2021, the servers were taking offline due to a serious of attacks from hackers. After months of downtime, the PlayStation 4 servers were brought back online with all community content restored.

However, servers for all prior PS3 and Vita versions were taken offline indefinitely.
