Skybound Games Announces New Fortnite Experience, Invincible Universe – Rise of the Sequids, Launching Today

Published on |

Explore the newest epic collaboration between Fortnite and Invincible, featuring the well-known “Red vs Blue” team deathmatch-style game mode in Fortnite Creative… but with a unique twist. The game concludes once all players have been merged into a single team!

Invincible Universe – Rise of the Sequids revolves around a fierce struggle for supremacy between mankind and extraterrestrial beings bent on annihilating the world. Distinctive within the Invincible universe, Sequids are parasitic entities that adhere to, merge with, and dominate a host body.

Should a human player meet their end, they will be resurrected at the Sequid team’s base as a Sequid player. Conversely, if a Sequid player is defeated, they will be revived at the human team’s base as a human player. A heads-up display slider keeps track of the player balance on each team in real-time.

Skybound Games’ ongoing quest to push the boundaries of the Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) reaches new heights with Invincible Universe – Rise of the Sequids. This thrilling installment adds to their series of superheroic Fortnite experiences, which already includes the immersive narrative adventure Invincible: Doc Seismic Attacks and the action-packed free-for-all shooter Invincible: GDA Combat Training.

These custom Fortnite experiences are out now, following the second half of the season two premiere of the critically acclaimed adult animated superhero series Invincible, co-produced by Skybound Animation and Amazon MGM Studios. The first half of season two won Rotten Tomatoes’ Golden Tomato Award for Best Animated Series and continues to be “Certified Fresh” with a 100% score.

Invincible Universe – Rise of the Sequids launches as a free-to-play experience within Fortnite Creative on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch today.
