Independent game development studio Finish Line Games will be providing the first hands-on demos of its upcoming game Robots at Midnight at this month’s Game Developers Conference in San Francisco and PAX East in Boston. The Sci-Fi Action-RPG will be showcased in The MIX + Kinda Funny Spring Games Showcase 2024 kickoff broadcast event on Friday, March 18th, starting at 10 AM PT on Twitch and YouTube.
Then Robots at Midnight will also be playable during the GDC-adjacent onsite showcase, on Monday, March 18th from 8 to 11 PM at the Terra Gallery. Finish Line Games co-founder and CEO Daniel Posner will be on hand to answer questions and meet with the press.
Robots at Midnight will then be highlighted as part of this year’s PAX Rising Showcase, which spotlights twelve of the most promising new indie games, at PAX East in Boston. Attendees can play a game demo at the PAX Rising booth from Thursday, March 21st, through Sunday, March 24th during expo hours.
About the Game:
Set in an expansive 1980s Cassette Futurist world, this Action-RPG features intense combat, satirical robots, giant mechanical monsters, and rich narrative discovered through exploration. Players will follow Zoe, a scrappy and unlikely hero, as she searches and battles her way through the world of Yob, uncovering its secrets. Robots at Midnight was revealed in November during the 41st Annual Golden Joystick Awards.
Robots at Midnight is slated for release in 2024 on PC and Xbox Series X/S consoles, with other platforms to follow.
